20-year-old Indicted for Breaking into Palin’s Email

The young man who accessed Gov. Sarah Palin’s email without authorization was indicted today, October 8, 2008. He turned himself in for the arrest.

According to the indictment he allegedly gained unauthorized access to the Gov. Palin’s e-mail account by resetting the password using Yahoo’s password-recovery tool. Specifically, he reset the password to “popcorn” by researching and correctly answering a series of personal security questions.

After he established control over the e-mail account he read the contents and made copies of the content, and other personal information.
