9-Year-Old Drives to Liquor Store For Drunk Dad

A man who was allegedly intoxicated had the need for more booze. He decided that he was too drunk to drive and went to the store with a designated driver. The problem was that the driver was his nine year old son. In Cape Coral, Florida. a police officer witnessed truck drive onto a road median and investigated.
Upon approaching the vehicle he found the child controlling the car. Also observed that Dad’s speech was noticeably slurred and he could smell the odor of an unknown alcoholic beverage on his breath. The Dad was charged with allowing an unlicensed minor to operate a vehicle and child cruelty that could result in mental or physical injury. As Reported: UPI.com
