In Birmingham, Alabama the State busted its largest indoor marijuana (See Marijuana Video) growing operation ever in it state. After an investigation the County Sheriff;s Office raided the warehouse. They discovered a sophisticated hydroponic system. This allows marijuana to grow in water only instead of traditional dirt.
The system allowed to operators to grow over a million dollars in pot a year. Over 500 marijuana plants were seized. Two were arrested, one was a suspended lawyer.
The police stated that hydroponics is the preferred method of growing marijuana. It makes the drug more potent, which generates more money. Hydroponic pot could sell for $4,500 per pound versus the normal $1,000 per pound. The Officer stated that this would be impressive if it was a legitimate business. As Reported AL.com.
