Arrest Warrant - Now What? Video

Summary: What do I do when I discover that I have an Arrest Warrant from the court?

A document issued by a judge or magistrate that authorizes the police to arrest someone. Warrants are issued when law enforcement personnel present evidence to the judge or magistrate that convinces her that it is reasonably likely that a crime has taken place and that the person to be named in the warrant is criminally responsible for that crime.

Warrants are issued when law enforcement personnel goes before a judge or magistrate and presents evidence and convinces the judge that there is reasonable likelihood that a crime has taken place and that the person to be named in the warrant is criminally responsible - involved for that alleged crime. The arrest warrant must allege probable cause that the person named has committed a specific offense.

A criminal lawyer should be able to minimize your exposure to jail and provide a criminal defense for the alleged crime stated in the warrant.
